Riverdale Color, founded in 1985, manufactures liquid colorants and additive dispersions for the plastics industry. Riverdale Color supplies colorants and additives to consumers and commercial markets such as toys, personal care, packaging, housewares and outdoor products. Riverdale’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in Perth Amboy, NJ. Its liquid color operation is supported by trained and experienced staff averaging over 20 years in the business. The new facility features a high-end color lab, which is involved in color development, color matching and quality control. The sales, marketing and customer service departments are also located in the same facility. Riverdale formulates custom colors as well as maintains a standard color line for a wide variety of plastic resins. Riverdale’s commitment goes beyond just color, they pride themselves in being a full service color producer that works to lower manufacturing costs and solve problems relating to color, manufacturing process, metering, material handling and inventory control. They do this by providing the newest technology in liquid color, process additives, metering equipment and inventory control software. Riverdale is pursuing the concept of mobile satellite facilities placed in strategically important locations. These facilities open initially for warehousing and repacking. As customers’ needs evolve, these locations become the blending operations, responding quickly and flexibly to the demands of manufacturing. At this point the first satellite location is open for warehousing in Monterrey, Mexico. Other sites are being evaluated as the business grows.
